Ms. Moon LOVES teaching! She is so happy to work in a profession where she is continually challenged to learn and grow. She is excited to work with the youth of today because she firmly believes that impacting todays youth positively will directly impact the future of our world for the good.
Welcome to wonderful world of science!! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with you this year! I love teaching high school students because I care deeply about each of you, your education and your future endeavors. I believe very strongly that the material we will be covering this year will help you grow academically by challenging you to master the complexities of life and existence from atomic level all the way through the intricacies of animal behavior . We will be doing some really cool things in class this year, including research projects and presentations and labs!
The main goal of Life Science is to comprehensively cover various elements of Life Science: biochemistry, cells, the human body, genetics, and ecology. Over the course of this year, I will introduce you to the wonders of the life science through lecture, lab practicum, diagramming and modeling!
The main goal of physical science is learn about the physical state of things, the forces that act upon them, and the components that both make them and move them. Physical science is quite different from Life Science and involves a bit more math. Don’t worry, though! This semester, you will be discovering the answers to lots of questions you have wondered about and these new concepts will challenge how you see the world around you!
Lastly, here are a few fun random facts about Ms. Moon. Ms. Moon was actively involved in the drama department and choir all through high school and college. Ms. Moon loves to sing, play piano and guitar, but only by ear, she cant read music but wants to learn one day. Ms. Moon has been known to occasionally slip into funny accents so look out! Ms. Moon is an avid swimmer and still teaches swimming lessons and coaches regularly. Ms. Moon is a HUGE animal lover! She has 3 rescue dogs who she considers her babies and loves dearly. Ms. Moon is the kind of person who believes that its important to be the best person you can be every day despite whose watching. She strives to live a life full of honor and integrity. She works hard every day to lead by example and hopes inspire a few of you in doing so.
Ms. Moon is so excited to be teaching at Ramona Junior High School and is looking forward to a FABULOUS year!
